AHDC Update: Fee adjustments in 2026
For clients of the Animal Health Diagnostic Center
New Animal Health Diagnostic Center (AHDC) testing fees will come into effect Jan. 1, 2026.
Fee adjustments are in response to rising operation costs and are essential to ensure that the AHDC continues to meet your expectations for high quality testing, fast turnaround times, and expert comprehensive consultation on diagnostic testing strategies and result interpretation.
The overall 2026 fee change amounts to an average 4.27% increase, but varies by test. Our fees are based on careful review of all supply and labor expenses, with the goal to meet operating expenses of our public, not-for-profit laboratory.
To look up the fee for a specific test after Jan. 1, clients can refer to the AHDC's comprehensive Test & Fee Database. Always check the Test & Fee Database for the most up-to-date prices. Any submissions postmarked in 2025 will be charged 2025 prices.
For questions about these changes, clients can contact the AHDC via the chat function on the homepage Mondays-Fridays between 9 a.m.-4 p.m., by emailing diagcenter@cornell.edu or by calling at (607) 253-3900.
