Caring for community cats during Spay Day at Cornell

This February marked the seventh annual Spay Day at Cornell, an opportunity for community cats to receive essential veterinary care.

The Cornell team comprised eight veterinary student directors, 42 student vollunteers, nine doctors and six licensed veterinary technicians. Together, they completd 29 spays and 21 neuters, administered 37 FVRCP and rabies vaccinations, placed 33 microchips and applied 40 doses of flea/tick prevention.

The event was sponsored by Hills, Zoetis, Purina, Boehringer Ingelheim, the Cornell Feline Health Center and the Cornell Richard P. Riney Canine Health Center.
