Open House: A behind-the-scenes look at the college

Thank you to everyone who joined us for last weekend’s Open House 2026! Organized by dedicated veterinary students, faculty, and staff from our diverse departments, this is one of our favorite opportunities to connect with our community and offer our visitors a behind-the-scenes experience.

This year’s event was an incredible success, filled with excitement, education, and a shared passion for animals and veterinary medicine. Visitors explored our college, participated in hands-on activities, and enjoyed exhibits ranging from police K9 and agility dogs to equine treadmill demonstrations and farm animal care.

Highlights include our Teddy Bear ER, wildlife health sessions, face painting, small animal physical exams, and inspiring Q&A panels on careers in veterinary medicine. Families and visitors met with local animal organizations, explored cutting-edge tools, and enjoyed delicious treats from the Cornell Dairy Bar.

We are deeply grateful to our community for making this event so meaningful. Open House is a time to inspire, inform, and connect. See you next year!
