Research/Clinical Interests
Dr. Manchester’s research focuses on chronic gastrointestinal conditions of dogs & cats. Her work investigates the pathophysiology underlying these common, naturally occurring diseases. She works to advance veterinary medicine through clinical trials & next generation sequencing approaches.

Biography/Professional Experience
Dr. Manchester grew up in Rochester, NY before completing her veterinary degree at Cornell University. After an internship at the University of Wisconsin, she moved to Colorado for an internal medicine residency at Colorado State University. Dr. Manchester became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2018. She completed a PhD focused on the pathogenesis of canine and feline chronic enteropathies at CSU in 2024. She returned to upstate NY in the fall of 2025 as part of the College of Veterinary Medicine faculty. Dr. Manchester loves all aspects of internal medicine but is particularly passionate about acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions. Her studies involve utilizing advanced technologies and non-invasive samples to expand understanding of gut health and disease across species.
