Research/Clinical Interests
Dr. Bailey’s research is focused on the development and testing of evidence-based treatment protocols in veterinary reproductive practice. Clinically, he is particularly interested in management of high-risk pregnancy and parturition in animals.

Biography/Professional Experience
Dr. Bailey was born to an army family and found himself moving every few years growing up. As such, horses and a deep desire to be a veterinarian were the key constants in his life. After experiencing pregnancy loss in his own mare, he developed an interest in this area and has dedicated his career to understanding and furthering the field of breeding management and obstetrics in veterinary medicine. This journey has taken him around the world, including time in Florida, North Carolina, New Zealand and recently as the resident veterinarian at Claiborne Farm in central Kentucky. He joined the faculty of Cornell, College of Veterinary Medicine with the goal of helping to raise the next generation of veterinarians and improving treatment protocols available to veterinarians in his field, with a particular focus on antimicrobial stewardship.
