Biography/Professional Experience
Dr. Hong obtained her DVM degree from School of Veterinary Medicine, National Taiwan University (NTU) in 2012. She also earned her master’s degrees from NTU and Purdue University. Dr. Hong moved to the USA and received her ECFVG certification during her clinical year at Louisiana State University. She completed her small animal rotating internship at University of Prince Edward Island and neurology/neurosurgery residency at Purdue University. Dr. Hong was an Assistant Teaching Professor at University of Missouri before joining Cornell University in 2025. Her clinical and research interests involve CNS inflammatory diseases, neuromuscular disorders, seizures, neurorehabilitation and acupuncture. Hong is a board-certified neurologist and a member of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She is also certified in companion animal rehabilitation. In her free time, Dr. Hong enjoys reading, playing the piano, hiking, and traveling. She and her husband love exploring the nature with their cuddly black labrador Stix.
