Biography/Professional Experience

Mia has been working with college students and alumni for the past decade. Her passion is providing holistic support to help clients craft an academic, professional, and personal life in harmony with their goals. Mia loves helping students consider how their passion for issues around health can translate into a fulfilling career. Before joining Cornell Public Health in 2026, she served as the Assistant Director for Social Impact Careers for Cornell’s university-wide career office.

Mia supports MPH students and alumni with all things related to career development. This includes figuring out what area of public health to pursue, finding positions and opportunities, getting application materials ready, preparing for interviews, networking, and more. She also leads the coordination of the required Applied Practice Experience (APEx) program, supporting students by working with them to craft opportunities that are in alignment with their goals.

Mia’s role also focuses on collaborating with community organizations, government agencies, and other employers who are seeking talented MPH students to contribute to their mission.

Outside of work, Mia tries to stay active in justice-focused community organizing initiatives. She recharges by reading, crafting, or getting outdoors with her partner and dog – camping, hiking, skiing, and swimming.
