Biography/Professional Experience

Dr. Timothy Wu was born in and raised in Plano, Texas, and after finishing high school, moved to New York City, where he studied biology as an undergraduate, and completed a Master’s degree, focused on comparative neuroanatomy. Dr. Wu then went on to attend veterinary school at Cornell University and graduated in 2017. After graduation, Dr. Wu continued his studies in a residency in anatomic pathology, which he completed in 2020. He received his board certification in anatomic pathology in September of 2021. In 2024, he completed his PhD with Dr. Dwight Bowman, focusing on the host-parasite immune response and immunomodulatory mechanisms employed by the nematode genus Toxocara. Dr. Wu completed a residency program in clinical parasitology in 2024, under the guidance of Dr. Mani Lejeune in the Animal Health Diagnostic Center, with sponsorship through the National Center for Veterinary Parasitology (NCVP). Dr. Wu received his board certification in veterinary parasitology. As a lecturer in veterinary parasitology with continued involvement in diagnostic pathology, Dr. Wu is excited to be able to combine his passions for pathology, parasitology, and teaching in the training of future veterinarians and scientists.
