Fall celebration draws festive crowd

To mark the beginning of the season, the College of Veterinary Medicine held its fall celebration September 7. Organized by the Fall Celebration Planning Committee and the Staff Council, the event welcomed all members of the college community for an afternoon of food and games.

Dean Lorin Warnick, D.V.M., Ph.D. ’94, welcomed the crowd and encouraged everyone to meet new people in addition to reconnecting with colleagues: “We have an accomplished and diverse community, and broadening our network makes us even stronger.”

In addition to a scavenger hunt, attendees enjoyed courtyard games, a photobooth and a diverse array of savory and sweet food options from American Dining Creations, like Cornell Dairy cheese and a chocolate fountain. Minnie the miniature horse and the Cornell Companions – including dogs, a llama and parrot all available for pictures – visited with people in Takoda’s Run.
