Biography/Professional Experience
Dr. Yael Merbl received her DVM from the Hebrew University in Israel in 2007. She completed a small animal rotating internship at Koret veterinary teaching hospital in 2010 and spent several years as a general practitioner. She then completed a residency in Veterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery at Koret in 2016. Once finished her training, Dr. Merbl worked at a multi-specialty hospital in Israel, before moving to the USA in 2019. In her first couple of years in the US she worked as an Assistant Professor at Washington state university, and in 2022 She joined Cornell University Hospital for Animals. Yael is a Diplomate and a member of the European College of Veterinary Neurology. In her free time Dr. Merbl enjoys listening to music, photography, exploring nature and traveling to places she has not yet seen.
