Research Interests 

Dermatopathology; animal models of skin disease; wildlife diseases 

Teaching Interests 

My primary role is teaching residents and veterinary students. I enjoy interacting with the pathology and dermatology residents and third and fourth year veterinary students through the surgical biopsy service, necropsy service, and dermatology clinic. I also teach some didactic course work to first year veterinary students.

Biography/Professional Experience

Dr. Jeanine Peters-Kennedy is Assistant Professor of Anatomic Pathology and a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (2004) and the American College of Veterinary Dermatologists (2007). She has been a faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Sciences since 2007 and also works 4-6 weeks per year in the Department of Clinical Sciences as a Clinical Dermatologist. Dr. Peters-Kennedy received her DVM from the University of Georgia in 2000. She did her anatomic pathology (2000-2003) and dermatology training (2004-2006) at Cornell University, College of Veterinary Medicine.
