Title: Implantable Cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) Therapy in Dogs with Severe Ventricular Tachy-arrhythmias: A Pilot Study
Project Amount: $9,888
Project Period: February 2016 to February 2018

DESCRIPTION (provided by applicant):

The specific aims of this pilot study in dogs with severe ventricular arrhythmias are:
1. To determine the feasibility of the ICD implantation procedure.
2. To determine if a DFT with adequate safety margin (> 10 J below maximum device output) can be achieved at implantation
3. To monitor the incidence and causes of appropriate and inappropriate therapies
4. To determine the potential complications associated with ICD implantation
