Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) is a common orthopedic procedure used to treat cranial cruciate ligament injury in dogs by leveling the proximal tibial (the "plateau") to reduce cranial tibial thrust by eliminating the mechanical need for the ligament. This research will examine three variables that may affect surgical outcomes during TPLO including tibial bone shape, implant (plate) shape, and plate orientation utilizing 3D bone models that will be subjected to biomechanical testing.
