Owner-Reported Pre-visit Pharmaceutical Use in Companion Dogs: A Quantitative Descriptive Survey

DESCRIPTION (provided by applicant):
Pre-visit pharmaceuticals are drugs that help reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in dogs during veterinary visits. Many dogs experience these responses at veterinary visits, impacting dog welfare and health outcomes. Fear, anxiety, and stress in dogs may also cause owners to avoid veterinary care. Even though these drugs are now used more often, little is known about how they are commonly used by veterinarians. This study aims to describe the most frequently used drug plans that aim to reduce stress at veterinary visits.
