Christina Cable, DVM
Dr. Cable grew up near Atlanta, Georgia, and has spent most of her life involved with show horses. After finishing her undergraduate education at the University of Georgia, she attended the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1994. After graduation, she moved to Ithaca, NY to start a one-year large animal surgical internship at Cornell University and stayed on to complete a 3-year residency in large animal surgery. Dr. Cable started Early Winter Equine, a private ambulatory sport horse medicine practice in 2000 and has been working in and around the central and western New York area since that time. Her primary interests are performance horse medicine as well as late term mare and foal care. Dr. Cable lectures regularly to Cornell Veterinary students about ethics and equine welfare and life as an ambulatory practitioner.
