Fourth-year veterinary student named Coyote Rock Ranch Scholar
Fourth-year veterinary student Francesca Buchalski is one of four recipients of the $75,000 Coyote Rock Ranch Veterinary Scholarship, which supports career pursuits in equine medicine. They were selected from 69 applicants.
The Foundation for the Horse will present Buchalski and her fellow awardees at the December 7, 2025, during the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) 71st Annual Convention in Denver, Colorado.
Buchalski plans to pursue a rotating internship at an equine hospital before practicing as an ambulatory equine veterinarian in New Jersey. Within her first five years of practice, she plans to complete Equine Rehabilitation Performance Medicine Certification and equine dentistry courses. Buchalski’s primary interests are sports medicine, integrative medicine and dentistry.
