We hosted our inaugural Intercampus Cancer Metabolism Symposium, bringing together researchers from Cornell’s Ithaca and Weill Cornell Medicine campuses from October 21–22, 2025 at the College of Veterinary Medicine on the Ithaca campus, and was hosted by the Cancer Metabolism Focus Group (CMFG).  

Our symposium featured three major sessions focused on (i) Cancer Cell Metabolism (ii) Nutrition, Obesity and Metabolism and; (iii) Immunometabolism, each with their own keynote speakers and talks from faculty and trainees from both campuses.  Keynote lectures for each of the sessions were given by Dr. Kivanc Birsoy (Rockefeller University), Dr. Kristy Brown (University of Kansas Medical Center), and Dr. Jeffrey Rathmell (University of Chicago).The symposium was widely attended by faculty, staff, and trainees from both campuses and spurred interdisciplinary interactions.
