Bacterial Pathogenesis

The bacteriologists in the department focus their research on the strategies employed by pathogens that mediate an intracellular infection. These pathogens include Salmonella, Mycobacterium, and Listeria. Research involves analysis of both bacterial toxins and the response of the host cell.
