New Community Medicine Internship

Become the FIRST EVER Community Medicine Intern at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine! 

This internship prepares veterinarians to lead in shelter & community practice while advancing access to care. Interns rotate through Cornell’s Small Animal Community Practice, Companion Animal Hospital, regional shelters, clinics and offsite locations, gaining experience in contextualized care and spectrum of care case management. Trainees will receive mentorship in HQHVSN, advanced surgery, outbreak management, population health, and protocol development. Interns have primary case responsibility in medicine and surgery and will gain experience mentoring veterinary students. Graduates will be prepared to deliver excellent medicine, support family quality of life, and shape innovative, equitable, solutions in animal welfare and community practice.
