Dr. Meagan L. Wentworth received her B.A. in Psychology from George Washington University in 2012.  While in Washington DC, she was a Team Leader for Jumpstart Americorps and volunteered for the Humane Society, where she realized her true calling as a veterinarian.  She then completed her BVM&S in 2017 at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, UK. As a veterinary student, she began research on detection of spay status using levels of anti-müllerian hormone in a blood sample.  Her main areas of interest are community outreach and education, shelter design to reduce the spread of infectious diseases, and population control.  An avid runner, she enjoys running with her doberman/shepherd mix, Mowgli, and hiking new trails. However, Mowgli likes to ensure that they get plenty of downtime and can often be found playing the role of lap dog while Meagan catches up on her Netflix queue.
