Tuition and Financial Aid
Cornell is More Affordable Than You Think!
We strive to make a Cornell veterinary degree accessible to everyone to ensure that those with demonstrated financial need can afford to pursue their dream of becoming a veterinarian. Through financial aid services, budgeting and money management, our financial aid staff will guide you through this process.
Tuition Rates & Fees
The Office of the Bursar provides monthly e-billing statements to each student, twelve times per year. Fall tuition expenses are billed in July, and spring tuition expenses are billed in January. To prevent enrollment holds and finance charges, tuition and fees are due by the billing due date. Learn more about Annual Tuition Rates and Fees.
Paying Your Bill
The Office of the Bursar at Cornell University serves as the university's primary hub for managing student-related financial matters, encompassing tuition, fees, and related expenses. Bills containing tuition and fees for each semester are typically produced in July for fall and January for spring. Payment must be received monthly by the billing due date to avoid finance charges, and enrollment holds.
Student Loan Deferment: No Action Required
Cornell University automatically reports your enrollment status to loan servicers through the National Student Clearinghouse after classes begin each semester. This means:
- Students do not need to complete or submit any deferment forms.
- The loan servicer will use this enrollment data to place student loans into deferment.
- This process typically occurs within 10 business days after enrollment data is transmitted
- Contact Cornell University Registrar directly if you have private loans that do not automatically defer.
Want to know when your enrollment is reported? Learn about enrollment certification timelines. Current students can view and request enrollment verification via Student Center.
