The Diel Laboratory will collaborate with the Richt’s lab at KSU to perform next generation sequencing on clinical samples from cattle experimentally infected with HPAI H5N1. We will perform whole genome sequencing, sequence assembly and analysis, including analysis for mutations and minor variant populations that may arise as the virus infects and replicates in cattle.
