Research Interest

I motivate my teams to push new frontiers and achieve their personal best, driven by my passion for new knowledge and increased understanding of health and disease, and through practical problem-solving, mentoring and lateral thinking. A dynamic, innovative and inspirational leader, I bring new ideas and fresh solutions to one-health and animal health. I am a one-health infectious diseases researcher with special expertise in molecular microbiology of diverse pathogens from protozoa, to fungi to viruses, and an h-index of 33.
