Biography/Professional Experience
Jacquelyn Evans is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Baker Institute for Animal Health at Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Her research focuses on identifying the genetic basis of canine diseases, such as cancers and autoimmune disorders, many of which also affect people. Dr. Evans received her BS degree and PhD in Genetics from Clemson University. She completed her postdoctoral training at the National Human Genome Research Institute under the mentorship of Dr. Elaine Ostrander before beginning her faculty appointment at Cornell in 2022.
