This seminar will describe laparoscopy, one of the major minimally invasive or "keyhole" surgery techniques used in equine veterinary medicine. The advantages of laparoscopy will be described, and candidates for this type of surgery highlighted. Additionally, the limitations of laparoscopy will be discussed.
