Fitness Classes
Fall 2025 Schedule: September 3 to December 11
The free yoga classes continue this fall, thanks to a generous donation of retired small animal veterinarian Bob Pane, D.V.M. ’75. Thank you again Dr. Pane!
- What:
- Pilates: a conditioning program designed to increase body awareness and the mind-body connection, improve alignment, and enhance breathing. In these mat-based classes, participants can expect to improve their coordination, flexibility, strength, and endurance through a focused flow of movements.
- Slow-flow, Vinyasa-style yoga: focus on alignment, including variations to meet individual needs, and emphasis the cultivation of mindfulness, strength, and flexibility. Flowing transitions help create a fluid and dynamic experience guided by breath, leaving participants grounded, calm and energized.
- How: Simply arrive dressed in comfortable, flexible clothing and sign the waiver in the front of the room (sign just once for the whole semester). Yoga mats and supplies are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own, along with a water bottle.
- Where: CVM Community Well-being Room (S1-017).
- Who: Classes are suitable for people of any fitness level. All class instructors are experienced members of the Cornell Recreation team and can modify classes to suit participants’ needs.
