Networking

Build relationships that help you move forward

Your professional network begins with your cohort and expands through research mentors, visiting speakers, externship hosts, and the broader reproductive science community. The MS-FTRM brings career exploration into your scientific training from the start.

Meet leaders in the field through CoRe

The Cornell Reproductive Sciences Center seminar series introduces you to emerging ideas in reproductive medicine. Through the series you will meet leading scientists, clinicians and innovators from around the world. Journal club preparation will help you to engage with their work and develop the confidence to ask informed questions. Small-group meetings, lunches, and informal discussions with visiting speakers will provide valuable opportunities for networking, mentorship, and career exploration.

Connect beyond your laboratory

The Cornell-led Tri-State Symposium on Reproductive Health brings together researchers from collaborating universities. Participation provides opportunities to share ideas and meet scientists beyond your home laboratory. Additional conferences relevant to your research may offer further opportunities, subject to selection, schedules, and available support.

Use your externship to explore a career

As a student, you will complete a short externship to gain hands-on exposure to reproductive medicine beyond their primary research laboratory. An externship can introduce you to people working in a setting you want to understand. You will be able to ask about their career paths, the skills they use, and how their organizations translate reproductive science into practice.
