Eastern Equine Encephalitis Virus Plaque-Reduction Serum Neutralization Test (EEEPRSN)

The AHDC is now offering a plaque reduction serum neutralization assay for the detection of antibodies to eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) virus. This assay has been verified for equine species. This is the test of choice for vaccine titer testing in equines. EEE IgM ELISA is the test of choice for horses with neurologic disease. Other mammals and avian species may be tested, but the assay is not validated for these species at this time. Testing fee is $28.40 per sample.
