Expertise in translational research

The Comparative Coagulation Laboratory studies mechanisms of hemostasis and thrombosis and develops assays to evaluate these systems in many different species. We characterize naturally occurring hemostatic disorders in animals, participate in collaborative projects to advance the treatment of veterinary patients, and develop animal models for investigational studies of drug and device development.
