New Ruminant Susceptibility Panel

Sunday, April 1, 2018

To improve service to our clients, the Bacteriology laboratory will be offering a new antimicrobial susceptibility panel for organisms isolated from bovine, porcine and other ruminant animal samples starting in April 2018. This updated panel includes testing for newer antibiotics such as Gamithromycin and Tildipirosin. This panel also features updated breakpoint ranges for tilmicosin, tulathromycin and tiamulin to meet the latest standards designated by CLSI, as well the consolidation of tetracycline agents.

Please refer to this chart for currently available antimicrobial susceptibility panels offered at the Animal Health Diagnostic Center.
