Join Us!

Ithaca is mid-sized town with big-city energy, a cultural gem nestled among acres of stunning natural beauty and green spacesFood and music fans will find plenty of offerings here, while those looking for community and connection are bound to find like-minded folk — whether it's at a roller derby, a dragon boat race or a community garden.

Lovers of the great outdoors are in for a treat. Ithaca is home to three state parks with breathtaking waterfalls, natural swimming holes and miles of hiking trails: Taughannock, Treman and Buttermilk. It's located at the end of beautiful Cayuga Lake, where you can rent a canoe, kayak or paddleboard to explore its waters, or take a short, scenic drive to explore the region's other Finger Lakes. There's also phenomenal mountain biking trails and a downhill ski resort an easy distance away.

After your hike, paddle or bike, check out the region's wine trails, the ever-popular Ithaca Farmer's Market or shop around Ithaca's vibrant and eclectic downtown district.
Of course, Cornell students also have full access to all the events, amenities and offerings the Ivy League institution has to offer, including the Johnson Museum of Art, the Cornell Concert Commission and Big Red sports!
