Graduate Education

Our faculty train students and serve as committee members in several graduate fields throughout Cornell.

  • Animal Science Graduate Programs: Cornell’s Graduate Field of Animal Science offers flexible, individualized MS and PhD programs that span concentrations in animal nutrition, animal science, physiology of reproduction, animal genetics, and animal genomics. The program emphasizes cutting-edge research, sustainability, and experiential learning through teaching and outreach.
  • Biomedical and Biological Sciences (BBS) PhD Program: The BBS program is an interdisciplinary, research-intensive training environment that integrates basic, clinical, and translations life sciences across five concentrations: immunology and infectious disease, molecular and cellular medicine, population medicine and epidemiology, translational medicine, and zoology and wildlife conservation. Students benefit from exceptional research facilities, strong faculty mentorship, and a collaborative, student-focused community within the College of Veterinary Medicine.
  • Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Veterinary Parasitology: Cornell’s MPS in Veterinary Parasitology provides comprehensive training in parasite biology, diagnostics, disease mechanisms, and control through a flexible hybrid format combining online coursework with hands-on labs. A customizable capstone project prepares graduates for advanced roles in industry, government, academic, or further professional study.
