What is AQUAVET®
AQUAVET® is a program for students and graduate veterinarians interested in aquatic veterinary medicine and who eager to learn more about aquatic animals than what is offered in the traditional curricula. AQUAVET® offers two opportunities: AQUAVET® I is an introduction to aquatic veterinary medicine, and AQUAVET® II focuses on comparative pathology of aquatic animals.

Who can apply
AQUAVET® is open to college students, including those who are not in veterinary school and not a graduate veterinarian. AQUAVET® is also open to veterinary interns and residents, as well as other veterinarians.
Completion of the AQUAVET® I course, or adequate equivalent preparatory work is a prerequisite for admission to AQUAVET® II. For more details about requirements, visit the application page. Since AQUAVET®I and AQUAVET®II overlap, they must be taken in separate years.
AQUAVET® is celebrating 50 years!
AQUAVET® is celebrating 50 years in 2026! We are delighted to joining EXOTIC365 for a terrific conference in one of America’s oldest cities with a downtown area that has a vibrant cultural life and lots of history. Besides America’s first zoo — the Philadelphia Zoo — there is a large aquarium just across the Delaware River in Camden, NY. AQUAVET® will have a 50th celebration party there.
